School governors play a vital role in raising standards in our schools. Every school in Bedford Borough has its own governing body which is made up of staff from the school, parents and members of the public who are committed to serving the best interests of the school and contributing to the school's efforts in raising standards.

New governors needed!
We are looking for motivated and committed individuals to join our new dynamic team of governors at the Federation of Kymbrook and Thurleigh Primary schools. Newly formed since September 2018, we are seeking additional new governors who have the enthusiasm and dedication to contribute to purposeful and effective strategic governance of our two schools. If you have the skills, time and drive to helping our schools be the best they can be, why not join us?
You don’t have to have any prior governor experience nor any knowledge of our education system as we will offer support and training. It’s a great way to volunteer and give something back to the school community.
